Things I love right now: Natalie Joos.

Books, the idea of reading a story, and the idea of travel.

Candles and the way their wax ends up all over my room.

An empty chair in on an open brick wall- my idea of photography heaven.

Inspirations on your wall. We've all done it since we were 11. (And we all still do it now)

Rolling in paint. No, not really (although I would love to see what it feels like) but Max Fargo's exhibition.

I always think it's a good idea to document what you liked when, it may have completely changed in a years time- it just goes to show what huge changes can happen without you even noticing the time go by.

Happy New Year!

SUBDUED.

(Arc leather skirt, Topshop Boots, Vintage Jacket, shirt and jewelry)

One of my favourite jackets from my vintage trawls, it reminds me of a Missoni print. Quite an un-colourful outfit for me, but I'm beginning to get a little obsessed by somewhat subdued colours that are all kind of the same.
I hope you all had a great Christmas time and are looking forward to New Year as much as I am. Perhaps one of my favourite times of year: the beginning of a new epoch at the end of an old one. I love the excitement that surrounds it, like it's an honour to be allowed to pass into another calendar year and the joy of celebrating this with all your friends and dressing up for no reason at all.

(Topshop Boots, Miss Selfridge leggings, Urban Outfitters Hat, Vintage top)

My trousers that I call my 'Santa Pants' because, ya know, they're red and velvety, and at this time of year that equals Santa. Plus my new hat that keeps my head toasty on those blustering days when I have to walk to the library. Luckily today the winter sun shone brightly on my favourite garage door so I was able to finally take some photos.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

YES! Finally inspired by something, so much so that I'ma pop it on here for you. I'm sure by now you've all seen the Susie Lau and Saga Sig video. I watched it the other day. I found it interesting, and I love the beautiful cinematography used in the video.
I recognised Saga Sig's name, but did an obligatory google search once I had watched the video...
It appeared I had found the photographer to some of my favourite photos. Seriously, so many of her shots are some of my most beloved photographs- the ones you find here and there and the internet but are never really sure exactly who they belong too. I was ecstatic- what an inspiration indeed- it made me want to pick up a camera and never put it down.
I hope the images above and below get you as excited, and inspired as I am right now.

Hello lovely people, I've just popped in to inform you of a short absence that will no doubt manifest itself over the next coming weeks. I have a ridiculous amount of work to do and my mind is elsewhere, so this is a pre-warning that I may not be my usual self and thus post my usual stuff, as quite frankly at the moment I just don't have the time to think of a rad outfit and endure standing in the freezing cold to document it for you. (Not that I don't love you, or LOVE doing that, of course).
Instead you have the above, un-original but still amazing photos for your hungry eyes. Therefore I urge you to head over to my Tumblr in my absence, as it is horribly addictive and I will surely give you at least a few photos a day.

Taraahh!

My mother. The woman who took me and my sister round museums in Paris when we were little, who made sure we never stopped our creative passions and activities.
These photos were taken this August in the South of France, where it seemed I had been transported back to my childhood as me and my mother drove up and down the mountains, visiting galleries along the way.
Today just so happens to be her birthday. So Happy Birthday to my beautiful, talented and most of all inspiring, Mum.

I love this kind of stuff- transforming an editorial shot into a piece of art through some collage.
Makes me want to cut up my magazines and create something more personal this weekend.
