Having been inspired from all the pattern mixing going on lately, I decided the best thing to do was to clash with my curtains- it's a nifty trick that will always come in handy, especially if I'm in sudden need to be camouflaged. It also just so happens that my skirt goes pretty well with my wall. Thank God.
In other news, I'm back in London (again) but I'm staying put for a while this time. I'm happy to be home and I've never been so happy to land is London as I was last night- even though I left my jacket on the plane. A telling sign that no matter what, this city feels like home for me.
Perhaps inspired by the recent Olympics, perhaps the sunshine, or just the fact that I've
taken up running a little bit more seriously recently (which just means I went running
a couple times). Whatever it was, either way, my friends terrace in Ajaccio seemed like the
perfect place to shoot these.
(Vintage swimsuit and shorts, clip on earrings from Spitalfields, Giorgio Armani sunglasses)
Pink brick walls and a blue swimsuit. Also wearing my new clip-on earrings
I bought the other day. New favourite hairstyle- stops me feeling so frizzy in the
sun and humidity which has hit London recently.
I'm off to Corsica early tomorrow morning- see ya!
Cos underwear (getting obsessed with this shop) and nail varnish c/o POP.
I like layering the glitter colours over the light lilac/grey so that they really pop (haha).
Not to mention they just so happen to match the underwear. Now, I might need a dress...
More shots from my trip up to Northumbria. For me these photos seem a bit
more 'country' than I usually go for, but I suppose this whole trip was a bit
more 'country' than my usual city led life. In fact, that was half the reason
for the trip- to get away from everything. And indeed I did, with stretches of
fields, meadows and beach wherever we went, it was reassuring to know that
there do exist places with no one around, and you can just sit in the middle of
flowers (as I demonstrated above) and feel the sea air on your face.
I'm off to Corsica this weekend so hopefully I'll have some sun filled photos for you
from the South (and hopefully some sun filled skin, jeez).
New clip on earrings I found at Spitalfields vintage market on Saturday, as a kind of replacement for all the clip on earrings I want here, but at a fraction of the price.
I also love the idea of clip on earrings as it reminds me of playing with my grandmothers jewelry when I had just moved to England when I was younger, and enjoying the novelty of being able to wear earrings without having piercings. Now of course my ears are pierced but I rarely wear earrings as they tend to exaggerate my facial features, but I promise I'll wear these.
More seaside shots from my recent trip to Northumbria- which mainly consisted of eating too much seafood and playing in sand in front of castles.
I finally got this Zara shirt in the sale, the colours and pattern compliment each other perfectly. I'm also wearing my new-ish Cos jeans, which are the first pair to properly fit me and not stretch after a day which for me is a dream come true as I seem to have the wrong hip to leg ratio for any kind of trousers.
