POTTED.

A preview of what I was getting up to yesterday, when the sun miraculously came out just
as we turned up at the Botanical Gardens in Oxford. I was there shooting for Notion Magazine,
I love the set up in these gardens, classical stone monuments and fountains, beautiful plants,
the river by the side with punts floating around, and especially all the 'hot houses' there-
i.e. greenhouses, that are full wild exotic plants that I like to take photos of. I particularly like
the way they press up against the glass panes, the bottom right photo reminds me of
steaming spinach. See what I mean?
I'll post more of the photos we took once the feature is published.

I finally found a flat! I have 10 days till I move in. Since I signed for it 3 days ago, my tastes
on tumblr seem to have been unconsciously more interior based. I love the idea of a little
cubby whole bed, with a big living room and a comfy white sofa, white walls, and ermmm
white floorboards. I like all things white, bricks and wood. Simplistic. No patterns on the
walls.
I'm so excited about having my own place, for it to be mine to decorate, but most of all to
put my beloved MUJI sheets on my bed- which have been tucked away in a draw since I
left university in June. That's the first thing I'm going to do, and then I'll instagram that shit.

I love photos like these- taken on film, sundrenched and full of nature. The kind that make
me want to travel again and finally do the road trip I've always dreamed of across America.

These were taken by Nicholas Hawker, on a Mamiya 7.

POLO.

(Uniqlo poloneck, Arc skirt, Hobbs boots, vintage bag)

Polonecks remind me of being a child and wearing weird nylon-y ones to school. I remember
how I would fold the top over twice to make it lower. On a grown up me, however, I like to pull
it up to right under my chin, to make sure it's covering my whole neck. Maybe I'm now more
aware of the possibility of a double chin... luckily I have long enough locks to eliminate
these possibilities from day to day as most of my neck/chest/back is normally flooded in
hair. And you can tell that my job as a Beauty Editor is finally having an effect- I'm
wearing make up you can actually see. This is my favourite lip pencil from MAC in Magenta
which I think compliments the blue.
The navy of the poloneck in question stood out to me in Uniqlo- I've never bought anything
from there before. It was such a traditional (almost school uniform-like blue, ironically) navy,
and so unashamed in it's boring-ness that I saw it as fitting into my almost all monochrome
current wardrobe without any hassle. And none indeed as demonstrated above.

thank you to Emma for these photos

CAPPED.

The H&M with MMM collaboration starts today. I think last week I decided I would get up
very early to miss the rush. It's now 11:18 and I still haven't left the house. I think the thought
of being somewhere extremely busy with fashion-crazy shoppers put me off. I'd rather go
tomorrow and see what's left in a calmer manner. Anyway, since it's a Maison Martin Margiela
day I thought I'd post these photos I took of a girl outside the SS13 show in Paris.

The cap, the hair tucked into her jumper, the simple black sweater with black tailored trousers
and a big neckalce. This girl was a dream. Such a simple look, with no 'stand out' piece but I
couldn't stop trying to figure out what made it look so good. Maybe it's a French nonchalance
and coolness?
Also, I recognise her from somewhere- can anyone help me out?

(Zara jacket, Asos boots, old jeans, Vintage shirt and necklace)

Simples is blue jeans, white jacket and black boots. Still in love with these boots since I bought
them in May- they're the perfect high of heel for the day which can also work in the evening. And
as you can see, I'm also still not putting down or getting over my new iPhone.

Model Marte Mei van Haaste was asked by Dazed to document her version of fashion
week/month SS13. I love the outcome- the side you never normally see- the late nights, the
models sleeping on floors just to get ten minutes shut eye, the hair extensions, the tube
journeys to castings and fittings and the messing around to pass the time. After all, most of
their job is waiting.

There are so many from this collection, I tired to edit them down to give a good over view
