Some of the beauty products I use everyday, and some of the books I force myself to put my
laptop down for. I love reading. I write, so you have to enjoy reading- but it's harder than
you think to make yourself stop playing on social media or editing photos. The easiest time
to read is when there's really nothing much else to do: plane journey, bath, end of
the world.

Anyway, back to the products. This Clarins HydraQuench mask has been a favourite since
trying it last summer- it's a thick cream and you can apply as much as you like on your
face, leave for 5-10 minutes, then when you wash it off your skin is glowing and softer than
ever. I normally find 'hydrating' masks can actually sting and irritate my skin, but this one
calms and cools it.

Although oil actually makes my skin dry (I have no idea) (little round patches) (please tell me
why) I like mixing a couple drops of Aesop's Fabulous Face Oil into a cream and using it more
as a booster when my skin gets really dry. Man Tip: It's also doubles as a great beard oil for my
boyfriend. I recently discovered this REN Hot Cloth Cleanser and I can't stop using it. I've had
some trouble with using rose infused products in the past but this one is so creamy and gentle
that there's nothing to complain about. Plus it comes with a great flannel to help get every little
bit of make up off.

The Aesop handwash and Maison Francis Kurkdjian candles are also favourites that find
themselves used daily around my house.

A few of my favourite shots from backstage at the J JS Lee show. Jackie always creates
such covetable pieces: beautiful wool, turtle necks and luxurious blues and greens. These are
a few of my favourite photos from the show- which was my first of the AW14

I'll be making a film of the backstage footage I got from this show, but in the meantime
you can watch my Giles backstage video!

...okay 6 things. Six favourite moments from fashion week.
But the sixth one was my favourite moment of all, so the five proceeding it are a build up.

1. Walking into the backstage are at J JS Lee, seeing the model board and falling in love.
2. On a tired Saturday morning being served cronuts for breakfast at the Charlie May show.
3. Walking from show to show, looking up and feeling like I'm in Paris not London.
4. The backstage passes at Giles are always a laugh.
(FYI the next 2 are also Giles themed)
5. Diptyque scenting the back and front of house areas of the Giles show.
6. Taking this photo, then posting this one and it overnight making it's way onto so many
gossip sites- I'm finally famous! oh wait no theres no credit

Sunshine, spring and sprouting flowers might finally be upon us. Plus the news that this summer
be will 'the hottest ever' which seems laughable and hopeful all at once. The main laugh being
that there's no way it can top that heatwave from last year where no matter how many cold showers
or water sprays kept beside your bed, it was still impossible to get to sleep.

These photos were taken in Oxford when I popped home this weekend (dentist appointment
= glamorous life) and the sun quite literally made me force myself out of my bed (bed is even
more impossible to get out of at home home) and get in direct contact for some real life vitamin
D. Sadly my attire didn't quite mimic my mood, but all black is always a safe option for a
weekend away. At least, until it's summertime.

N.B. when I'm older I would like to own an array of Georgian houses which I can paint
various shades of blue, like so.

Marques' Almedia AW14

An early morning blur of bright eyes, fluffy shoes and frayed denim. Armed with my new
camera this fashion week, I've had a great time backstage shooting at some of the shows.
And being the newbie to my camera didn't realise the default size setting for photos is 20M
per photo. Needless to say my poor laptop has been struggling and screaming 'I'M FULL'
quite a bit over the past week. The only great part about this is that I can quite literally never
stop zooming on the photos, so I thought I'd bring you some reallycloseup shots I've managed
to create by selecting certain part of the larger photographs.

It's a great way to see the detail, but don't worry they'll be some zoomed out shots up soon.

I decided to go to a lot less shows this season. Last season was fun, but running around like
a headless chicken (a chauffeur, I do not have) is only really doable when there isn't rain,
wind and probably snow storms brewing outside, and crossing from one side of the Thames
to the other isn't upping my chances of being blown off a bridge by one hundred percent.

So I've chosen the main shows that I love and want to see- and want to remember seeing
and enjoying- even once the madness of fashion week has died down. One of those shows
was Giles. I've always been a big fan of his, and going from last season's backstage fun
knew I couldn't miss it again this year, and as luck would have it, it was even held round
my end of town so I could swan down in ten minutes from my flat. Perfect.

What I wasn't expecting however, is being quite so excited by the sight of Kendall Jenner. I'm
not a Kardashian fan, sure I follow Kim on instagram but duhh who doesn't: so do 12million
other people. I think it was due to her amazing Marc Jacobs appearance last week and the fact
that in my head she was moving from 'reality star' to 'editorial model' and I like it, I like it a
lot. (Although I was kind of sad she has un-bleached her eyebrows) (How does one do that?)
(Is that someones job?!?) It was great fun shooting her with Brit girls Cara and Jourdan, she
fitted right into their crazy backstage ways.

edit: I put up a quick snippet video of this here.

For the most part we've been drenched in rain, but for a few blissful minutes on Saturday- the
sun drenched us in it's glory. Luckily Seb was there to capture just how happy the sun makes
me, even in some dodgy alley in Soho.

I've got lots of fashion week updates for you, and hopefully I'll be making a film with all the
snippets of video I've been filming backstage at the shows. Happy Monday!

If there's anything a French girl loves, it's cheese. And quite frankly any human being should
love cheese in my eyes. And yes I am talking about the smelliest, runniest stuff around. The
kind of cheese that makes itself known the second you open the front door. Sorry not sorry.

The other type of cheese- that of the Valentine's Day type - is one of my most hated things. I
have nothing against a people loving on each other, I just don't understand the need to make a
big hu-hah and demand ridiculous things for something that is, really, just another day. I'd
much rather my other half was just generally kind and thoughtful to me throughout the year than
just this one day. Quite frankly, I'd be happy to stay in and eat cheese till the cows come home
in February, it's 'layering' month anyway.

The photographs above were shot for my Valentine's Day feature on Notion. A lovely selection,
that let me get a little bit too girlie for the day. The only problem now is deciding which lipstick
to wear for my mass wine& cheese-fest come the weekend.

Bringing a whole new meaning to 'top knot'. The Sophia Webster Spring Summer collection for
2014 was as colourful and crazy as her shoes have become known for. Backstage was crazy,
there were two other shows using the space in the Topshop venue and the sky has decided to
pour a waterfall over all of London, meaning that getting the models to the Webster
presentation without going through Topshop Unique's catwalk was made 10 times harder as
the had to go through the gardens. Queue the security guards being employed as model
transporters across the grass.

Quite an amusing image now, but when you're soggy, cold and stressed it ain't so fun.
Luckily I was just the photographer (who sadly failed to capture the carrying).
