They have these flowers all over Corsica. They line every road and beach. For a tourist
like me I find them beautiful, but all my local friends seemed bored by the sight of
them. Their accompanying rich green leaves had me taking photos as soon as I got out
the car from the airport. This colour combination was mimicked a photo of the garden
chair and a top of mine lying on it- I thought the juxtaposition was nice.
Then that’s just me, enjoying the evening sun light up my hair and saying goodbye to
the (proper) sun for a while. Although I must admit after a week of 40 degree days
and 25 degree nights- the thought of a cooler London was appealing.
edit: just been informed these flowers are called Bougainvilleas.
