THE.LANCÔME.LADY.
More from my backstage experience at MBFWA.
I was lucky enough to attend the Daniel Avakian show, and beforehand I popped backstage to
see what Lancôme were doing with the make-up…
The great thing about having a skincare brand do the make up is that they know how to prep the
skin before. Not only with a load of heavy duty serums and creams, but the models also had
a Clarisonic cleanse to begin, to properly rid their skin of built up make up from previous
shows.
This kind of ‘mini facial’ seems to be more and more available backstage (eg Sunday Riley
facial massages to models backstage at Stella McCartney), as brands are realising that glowing,
clean skin with minimal make up is what people are after – not caked on layers of foundation.
And in this case the make up look worked perfectly with the clean cut, minimal, modern clothes
in the show.
Thank you so much to Lancôme for having me backstage.
