THE HYBRID.
I will aways remember my mother telling my sister and I that if only we wore less make up,
we would have better skin (this was in our teenage years, and sadly we weren’t blessed with
our mother’s seemingly pore-less complexion). It angered us to no end as we tried to explain
to her that make-up was not bad. ‘Make up isn’t tar anymore Mum!’ we used to say. And
indeed it wasn’t, but I’m sure a little less drugstore concealer wouldn’t have done any harm,
either.
Fast forward ten years and things have really changed in the make-up game. Skin is very
much in and thanks to google and a plethora of beauty websites, even teenagers can learn
what will/won’t help their skin. But at the end of the day, we all still like having that bit of
coverage to perfect our look. The biggest problem I’ve found now (post teenage years!) is
my eye area, and how dark circles can creep up on you.
