What to pack in your sponge bag for a getaway.
Packing for a trip can be hard, especially when it comes to beauty. What you pack is very dependant on your destination, and while you can assume a couple bikinis and summer dresses is perfect for a summer getaway – it’s tricky figuring out how your skin will react  to a change in humidity, temperature and daily elements.

For that very reason, I always pack foolproof products. This is not the time to be testing
out new products (unless it’s the bright new nail varnish you got in the airport!)

No matter where you’re going, you need calming and hydrating skincare throughout the flight and upon arrival. After a day at the beach or a afternoon on the slopes, you need to soothe and hydrate your skin. My essentials are SK-II Facial Treatment essence, applied after every cleanse, Avene Eau Thermale to stay hydrated on the flight or at the beach, and Sisley Hydra Global to make sure all the moisture is locked in. I’ll also pack my current eye cream, lip balm and sunscreen.

And the same goes for makeup, if your destination is a different temperature than your skin is used to; you certainly don’t want to irritate or aggravate it with layers of makeup. I opt for a lightweight base such as Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow, which will cover any imperfections without hiding any newly acquired freckles or tan. A do good brow gel, highlighter and cheek colour and bold lipstick have my covered for a multiple of occasions during my trip. I’ve opted for Givenchy Mister Brow Gel, Clinique Sculpting Highlight, Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick – which are all cream, no crumbling powders here – and my favourite Tom Ford lip colour.

In addition to the necessities I always pack my favourite summer scent – Bronze Goddess from Estée Lauder – and nail polish from OPI. Easy. Then I just pop them into my BonAir from American Tourister; my first hard case suitcase which is a total life saver for keeping beauty products in one piece, and I’m ready to roll!
