HOLIDAY LOOK.
How to look good to glow at the beach. As a rule, if I’m in the sun, I don’t like to wear makeup.
I’ll wear sunscreen (of course!) but makeup just makes me feel like I’m clogging my pores and I don’t personally find it necessary.
I’m comfortable enough (see: sunglasses, hat and book to get stuck into) to be barefaced.
However, there were times on our recent trip to Ibiza that I needed a little more coverage as we would be heading to lunch at fancy restaurant in between visiting different beaches and I wanted to feel I looked my best, rather than just feeling ‘okay’.I also didn’t want to take a whole bag of makeup to the beach with me so I relied on one main product: the amazing NARS x Charlotte Gainsbourg Multiple stick in Alice.
The colour looks a lot stronger than it comes out, so don’t be afraid. After applying a light layer of YSL Le Teint with my fingers to even up my skin tone, I used the stick on my cheeks, nose (for that sunkissed look), lips and even a little on my eyelids. I love using similar shades all over the face as I find it brings the whole look together and doesn’t look disjointed. On my body I love to apply a spritz or two of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse which is a dry oil that not only smells incredible, it gives you that glowing, tanned looked without feeling sticky. And it also doubles as a great highlighter!
