FRENCH GIRL HAIR.
If you’ve been a reader of this blog for a while, you’ll know that I don’t keep my love for Klorane a secret. A French pharmacy cult classic, the dry shampoo is what keeps my thin-and-easily-greasy hair looking fresh and full of volume. I genuinely use this stuff every single day. Usually I would reach for either the Nettle or Oat Milk dry shampoo, but having dyed my hair even darker a few weeks ago, the Tinted Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk has become a firm favourite as it contains a beige mineral pigment that naturally adapts to darker shades of hair.
Top tip: use it on your hair the night before you would normally need to use dry shampoo. I find that leaving it on overnight means even more oil can be absorbed by the powder. Then I just do a spray here and there in the morning for volume, et voila.
Growing up in Paris, Klorane is what all French girls have on their bathroom shelf and in their shower. I’ve talked about the amazing Flax Fiber range before but most recently I’ve discovered the Mango Butter range. Not only does it smell like you’re on a tropical island (an escapism we can all do with at this time of year) it’s also great for nourishing your hair – especially if it’s damaged, frizzy or dry.
If you’ve got particularly dry hair, then after using the Shampoo and Conditioner apply the Nourishing Leave In Cream to towel dried hair.
Last but not least, the eye makeup removal range is what I might call a hidden gem. Harnessing the power of the cornflower (which has incredible anti inflammatory properties) the Floral Lotion is so gentle and soft that you can even use it if you have contacts in! Although I use an oil cleanser to remove my makeup on my face, it’s a great idea to use a separate product on your eyes as the skin around them is so fragile that rubbing too hard with a cleanser can damage it.
Top tip: After using a cotton pad, use a cotton bud dipped in Floral Lotion to remove any further eye makeup. This is super gentle on the eye and allows you to remove eyeliner on your lashes without even touching the skin.
