BASIC STYLE.

Since my mid twenties I’ve always kept my style fairly simply, I’d experimented a lot with colours and prints and boldness earlier on but never found my happy place and always felt unsure as what to do. So I stripped back, stuck to certain colours and shapes I knew I liked (and most importantly, felt comfortable in and fit my shape). My wardrobe is now made up of good quality denim that I invest in (they will last my a lifetime!) and I mix up my oversized t-shirts, jumpers and shirts depending on how I feel. In summer I love wearing a lot of linen, but it’s the same formula – everything looks good together. I’ll play around more with different size jewellery and style shoes but again, it’s within the same look so that it all works as one.

My go to’s are jeans and a t-shirt with a round neck jumper – paired with either mid heel boots or trainers. I’ve found Redone and Agolde do the best fitting jeans for my shape, and they don’t lose shape after one wear which is really important for me. I definitely don’t mind investing more in denim and then shopping more high street for t-shirts and jumpers. I find a good mix means I know I don’t have to buy new jeans each season but allows me to feel like I can play around with ‘new’ pieces every few months.

I love layering gold necklaces and earrings depending on what else I’m wearing. Since my style is quite simple I find it’s hard to really overdo it on jewellery which is great.

Below I’ve linked some of my favourite pieces. They are affiliate links which means I will get a small percentage from any sales.
