AUTUMN SKINCARE.
Once the weather starts to get cooler, our skin can start to change. Colder weather means there’s less humidity, and as we’ll likely put the heating on – this can dry out the skin further. This can mean it feels tighter and more textured. It might also be that your skin feels oilier – but that doesn’t mean it’s not dehydrated. Oilier skin can actually signal that your skin is trying to hydrate itself by creating more natural oils.
But no need to worry! It’s totally normal. Below are my top tips for going from summer to winter skin.

something that is easy to rush, its important to take the time to properly cleanse, not only will this remove debris, dirt and makeup from our pores to let the products we use after actually absorb and do their job – but the actual action of cleansing helps with circulation and helps aid toxin elimination.
My top pick: a cult classic for a reason, the Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is the ultimate first cleanse in the evening. I massage the balm onto dry skin, as it turns into an oil this is also a wonderful time to take a deep breath, relax, do a little facial massage and really take the time to cleanse. RELAX
it’s cold: run yourself a bath and slather yourself in oils and creams. It’s not just your face that can get dry – and no one likes that tight skin feeling under clothes. I love using muscle and mind relaxing soaks and oils in my baths, then using a cream or oil before bd to deeply nourish my skin while I sleep. In the morning, using a dry brush helps gently exfoliate the skin while diminishing cellulite and upping circulation – a natural wake up!
My top pick: there’s nothing I love more in the evening than running a hot bath and taking some me time. ADD IN
OILS
when our skin is dry, it means it’s lacking oils. I love adding a nourishing oil into my evening routine once the weather turns. Just like we layer our clothes, layering your skin will help nourish and protect it further. All skin types will benefit from this as it’s like a physical cocoon for your skin and will help keep the natural oils and lipids of your skin barrier strong.

EXFOLIATION
as the sun isn’t so strong, it’s a great time to up exfoliation (without forgetting your daily SPF of course) to help even skin tone, minimise wrinkles, remove dead / flaky skin cells, lessen pigmentation and congestion that can be easily be caused from summer heat – and mascne now too! Exfoliating away dead skin cells will help give you a natural glow, while also helping your serums and oils penetrate more easily into the skin meaning you get a better result.
My top pick: I have used the Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads for years. They use enzymes, lactic acid and probiotic complex to gently exfoliate the skin, and honestly once you see the result you’ll see why I’ve used them for so long.
