FRANCE ON FILM.
A much needed trip abroad to Les Roches Rouges in the South of France, where I managed to take some time offline but of course still shot on film for this photo diary. I visited the hotel years ago when it first opened and it was so wonderful to be back, it manages to mix simplicity with luxury and has everything you could need – including a Michelin Star restaurant that impressed me every single meal!
We stayed in a Deluxe Sea View room and visited at the start of Autumn – the weather was still lovely – around 23-25 degrees – and although the sea was cold it was fine after a minute or two (nothing quite like that kind of wake up!). We spent a day in Paris first having got the Eurostar from London, then the TGV down to nice where we rented a car so that we could do a day trip to Cassis which I used to visit lots as I had family living there for most of my childhood. We walked in the Calanques and swimming in the aqua water there was like a rebirth after 8 months in London!
I’ve made a few of them prints too if you want to check them out here.
And to see more from my trip in moving form you can watch my vlog here.
